Copenhagen municipality has built a new cyclist bridge between Amager and Vesterbro over the water – in Danish called “Cykelslangen” – a play on words in Danish, but it translates into something of the likes of “bicycle tube”. It’s 230 meters long and each section of the bridge weighs up to 28 tons. The bridge is built just right next to CinemaxX, so they decided to welcome the estimated 12.000 daily cyclists crossing the bridge with four funny illustrations of classic movie characters. I started these about a year ago I think, and they were just put up on July 4th 2014. I also did a full T-Rex as well as a T-Rex skeleton that we decided wouldn’t work so well after all. Not all might figure out the reference to Jurassic Park and think it was a reference to Night at the Museum, which isn’t such a particular classic.
