Snedronningen is a Christmas ballet that premiered in Tivoli 2019 with costumes and scenography by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and music by Oh Land among others. Simple, easy and elegant transition animations and a custom snow particle system incorporated.

Halloween 2019

A mix of banners for the main season and for the new scary house “The Hospital”. “The Hospital” banners starts out simple with a static regular Halloween look, then shifts over to the Hospital look with some particles flowing across the canvas. The regular Halloween banners features spinning key visuals.

Faglige Dage 2019

School Children in various ages can use Tivoli as a class room for a day and solve different assignments like physics and math. Faglige Dage translates roughly into “Professional Days” or “Education Days”. These 4 variations show a glimpse of the various banner packages I did over the year – the Ferris Wheel is the most interesting animation wise, as the ballons needed to be counter-weighted as the wheel turned around.

Easter 2019

Easter is a short “season” in the beginning of the summer season and instead of an easter bunny or an easter chicken Tivoli has an easter peacock, as they roam around the garden. I had to put that into play, so I split the illustration up into bits and pieces to animate the feathers separately and create a nice effect of the peacock spreading its feathers.

Winter 2019

These are quite fun and different as the belly of the snowman is a snow globe, so of course I had to shake him around in the banners.

Fredagsrock 2018

2018 was Tivolis 175th anniversary. The visuals for Fredagsrock was an homage to the old posters and a nod to “Rock Pierrot” used previously for Fredagsrock. To have the overlay static but animate the text punched out wasn’t possible, so the solution was to animate each sign in/out, which I did in 3D either horizontal or vertical depending on the format.

Experimentarium Brand Banners

Experimentarium had a new CVI done for 2017. A part of that was 3 animation sequences made with something like After Effects. Among other projects I was lucky to translate these animations into HTML animations. It was quite the challenge, some cheating or rather illusion is involved to pull some of it off, but I’m extremely happy with the result – as was the client!

Christmas / New Years 2016

The 2016 Christmas and New Years online campaign. Based on the artwork from 2015 although modified with new colors and illustrations. Since the illustrations were simpler, the animations weren’t as comprehensive either. The campaign consisted of a main banner, a video banner to show the Christmas movie that was done in 2015 and the fireworks banners to promote the great fireworks festival.

These banners were done for the 2015 Christmas campaign in Tivoli. These are good examples of cute, funny and subtle character animations and full integration on takeover banners. There were 4 separate illustrations done to promote different USPs and I animated them all for these banners. I still love this campaign all these years after it aired.

Hairspray 2016

The Hairspray Musical came to Tivoli in 2016. Based on the classic 80s film, the musical version has been a hit throughout the world initially on Broadway. In Tivoli it starred some of our finest talents in the industry – and gave a new girl a chance of stardom, as part of the campaign was to “find Tracy”. That’s right, Tracy wasn’t cast initially but there was an audition later where anyone could apply and get a chance of getting the part and perform with the rest of the cast!

Come Together 2015

Come Together is a Theatre Concert where classic songs by The Beatles are interpreted and performed by various artists. The stage show was crazy and literally of the walls and above the crowd! I was lucky to see this show and didn’t regret it. I’m not the biggest Beatles fan though, but the artists were amazing and the entire show was really entertaining. Besides the banners and various stuff for print, I did the environment graphics for this campaign in 3D too, that includes all the 4 walls and the light rig in the background as well as the assembly and final grading and adjustments in Photoshop.
